At our English school, LAL Cape Town, there is a wide range of English courses available for you, from General English to English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Courses start every Monday and you can choose from different options: General (15 hours per week), Intensive (22.5 hours per week), General + Premium (which is Intensive with the afternoon lessons in smaller groups of a maximum of 6 students) and, for students over 30 years old, a General English course for 30+ also runs on specific dates.

The LAL Cape Town school of English
LAL Cape Town occupies a beautiful heritage building which offers outstanding facilities and services on-site, adding even more comfort during the student’s stay.
The school has 15 classrooms which hold a maximum of 12 students in each room.
After your lesson, you can relax in the student lounge, have a meal with your fellow students in the school cafeteria, continue studying in one of the classrooms or read a book from the school library in the beautiful garden.
Within the school premises, there is also a barbecue area and a swimming pool that you can use… whenever you have no lessons!

Other activities can vary from a one-day safari experience to sand boarding on the dunes of Atlantis. Whale watching is also available, but if you are really looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience you can always go on the 20-day Cape to Victoria Falls overland camping tour.

Your accommodation in Cape Town
There is a wide range of different accommodation options to suit your needs at the LAL English school in Cape Town.
The most popular choice for our students is the school’s on-site student residence, where you can choose from a 4-bed dormitory with shared or private bathroom, a twin bedroom with private bathroom or a single room with private bathroom. There is also another student residence only 5 minutes walk from the school.
On the other hand, a great way to have a first-hand experience of South African local culture would be to spend your time in Cape Town in one of our selected homestays. If none of the options above match your requirements, let us book you a room in one of our partner hotels.

The on-site residence is our recommended accommodation option and accommodation of choice for students. Located on the school campus, your class is only a few steps away from the bedroom.
Residence facilities include wireless Internet and a free, 24-hour Internet room, beautiful garden with barbecue, communal kitchen, restaurant, student lounge and a swimming pool for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
5 minutes from the school
The off-site residence is smaller, more intimate, and is perfect for students who prefer a more homely living environment. Twin rooms are available with private or shared bathrooms. All rooms include breakfast.
