Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic. The Centre of Prague is very beautiful and old. You can see Prague Castle, the St Vita cathedral, old town square with the astronomical clock called Orloj, Charles Bridge, National Theatre, Rudolfin and other interesting places.

In this town you can do lots of things. You can go by boat on the Vltava or visit historic sights or relax in the park. Not too far from the centre is one building called the Dancing Building. It’s called that because of the structure: it looks like a woman and man were dancing. Other interesting buildings are in the Old Town and in Zlatá Ulicka (in English, the Golden Street). This street is very small but there are interesting buildings.  In Prague there are lots of shops; you can buy almost anything there.

The weather in Prague is not right. The winter is too cold and the summer is very hot. But Prague is a very beautiful city.  Anna Utjaganová

Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic. Prague is also called the “city of a hundred towers” in Czech, but in reality Prague has more than a thousand towers. Prague is a very old, mysterious and historical city. There are a lot of historic sites, like Charles Bridge, Klementium, St Vita’s Cathedral and Václavské [Wenceslas] Square.

Charles Bridge is one of the major attractions. It is a bridge across the River Vltava from the old town to the Malastrana [Lesser Town]. On the bridge there are many statues. Prague has a lot of beautiful places like Petrin Hill and the Lesser Town. There is a lot of nature in Prague.

People in Prague are friendly, but you must be friendly to them; if you are not, they can be very unfriendly. Albert Maĺek
