Last month we told you about changes to UK visa regulations. You can now see a useful video about the new procedures, in several languages, at http://tinyurl.com/laltorbay-ad/visas
As a brand new add-on in LAL’s popular summer camp at Boca Raton, in Florida, we offer an exciting new Soccer Camp.
Students will take part in General English (20 lessons per week), plus a combination of personal, one-on-one and team based soccer training on Tuesdays and Thursdays with soccer coaches, and enjoy supervised sight-seeing excursions.
Every two weeks LAL will hold matches between the Soccer Camp teams, with the winners having a free ride in a limousine!
The Soccer Camp is great fun for boys and girls, and costs $220 for two weeks in addition to the standard programme fees. You can contact Ferdinand Estuniga
(ferdinand.estuniga@lalschools.com) for more information.

Once again, this year, our resident charity walker, Lorraine Myrie will be doing the local charity event – The Big Midnight Walk.
On 6th June she will be joined by several hundred other walkers one of whom will be our very own Director of Studies, Glynis Ferrer, on the 14-mile sponsored event between Paignton and Babbacombe.
Rowcroft Hospice is a well-known local establishment whichcaters for people with life-limiting illnesses, and aims to provide the highest quality care, not only for the patients but much-needed respite for their families.
Unfortunately, the government does not contribute any money to this worthwhile cause, so any sponsorship will be greatly appreciated.
As a result of cut-backs, Rowcroft has had to close its Day Service, which is a sad loss for the local community.
Last year Lorraine raised £215. She hopes to increase that amount this year. If you want information about Rowcroft Hospice Lorraine will be happy to talk to you. You can’t miss her - she’s the one wearing the Rowcroft tee-shirt every Friday until the day of the walk.
11th May saw over 1,000 student weeks booked onto our UK courses, the highest ever total for a single day.
A new partner school joins our partners around the world this month. The Sydney English Academy, SEA, is our first Australian partner.
Conveniently located just metres from the beach and right in the town centre, the Sydney English Academy (SEA) is a boutique English school which focuses on individual attention.
SEA is accredited by the National ELT (English Language Teaching) Accreditation Scheme (NEAS).
You can find out about SEA at www.lalschools.com
