Discover Ireland West for the Over 50s

The West of Ireland has so much to discover and enjoy and exploring this wonderful region can be considerable fun with a closed group of like-minded people. This course involves English language lessons in morning classes and opens up a world of opportunities for afternoon and weekend activities, including:

• Visiting mountains, lakes, farms and castles located on the west coast of Ireland
• Enjoying a traditional Irish meal in a traditional farm cottage
• Learning to play the tin-whistle, a traditional Irish musical instrument
• Learning about and experiencing Irish history and culture

This is a closed group course with a group size limited to 12 participants. A minimum number of 8 participants is required for this course to proceed.   

This course is siutable for participants with an Elementary/Pre-intermediate level of English. Where a student tests at a level higher than Pre-intermediate they will join Intensive English (GE1) morning group classes appropriate to their level and will join the Discover group for all other activities.

Some of the activities on this course take place over weekends: participants are advised to make accommodation bookings from Saturday to Saturday. Where a Public Holiday occurs during a course, an excursion will be arranged on the holiday.
