The role of Office Manager is directly concerned with the welfare and administration of overseas junior students, their money and important documents. This requires the post-holder to take overall responsibility for the financial and administrative management of the course and manage a small office subject to high volume and high-pressured workloads.
The role of Welfare Officer is directly concerned with the welfare of overseas junior students as well as the training, management and support of all welfare staff. This requires the post-holder to take overall responsibility for the preparation, installation, operation and finalisation of all welfare provisions outlined in the staff handbook and discussed by the Centre Manager and/or Summer Schools Operations Manager.
The role of House Parent is directly concerned with the welfare and enjoyment of overseas junior students. This requires the post-holder to supervise a student residence and offer constructive assistance as required to all aspects of the summer school operation including activities and excursions. This role will require the post holder to ensure that all the students in their residence are happy, healthy and well behaved. A House Parent must have the ability to provide care and supervision for their students whilst maintaining discipline at all times.
The role of Leisure Manager is directly concerned with the welfare and enjoyment of overseas junior students. This requires the post-holder to take overall responsibility for the preparation, installation, operation and outcomes of the Leisure Programme including off-site excursions as well as the airport transfer arrangements to and from the school. There will also be a strong reliance on team management as the Leisure Manager will be responsible for all staff whilst they are partaking in the leisure programme
The role of Activities Co-ordinator is directly concerned with the welfare and enjoyment of overseas junior students. This requires the post-holder to not only perform all the duties expected from an activity leader but to also work with the Leisure Manager in ensuring the successful execution of a full range of programmed activities and events onsite. There will be a strong emphasis on assisting the Leisure Manager with planning and overseeing the activity programme as well as training staff and ensuring everyone on activities (staff, students and International Group Leaders) have all the information they need.
The role of Excursion Co-ordinator is directly concerned with the welfare and enjoyment of overseas junior students. This requires the post-holder to not only perform all the duties expected from an activity leader but to also work with the Leisure Manager in ensuring the successful execution of a full range of programmed excursions and transfers. There will be a strong emphasis on assisting the Leisure Manager with planning and overseeing the excursion programme as well as training staff and ensuring everyone on excursions (staff, students and International Group Leaders) have all the information they need.
The role of Activity Leader is directly concerned with the welfare and enjoyment of overseas junior students. This requires the post-holder to assist in a full range of activities and excursions both on and off site. Activity Leaders will also assist with airport transfers and offer constructive assistance as required to all aspects of the summer school operation. The ideal Activity Leader will be fun, energetic and outgoing but also have a high level of responsibility and authority. We aim for all our Activity Leaders to have as much fun as possible whilst always acting with high regard for the rules and policies of LAL and maintaining discipline throughout the course.
