If you would like to experience life in a genuine English family home, or if you prefer more independence and the company of other students, we have the solution for you. You can choose to stay with one of our very carefully selected families or select Hunter’s Lodge, our residence exclusively for students. You might prefer to relax in the peaceful surroundings of the Summerhill, our recommended hotel. If you prefer to book accommodation independently, we can recommend other guesthouses and hotels in the area - whatever your choice, we can meet your need!
Staying in a Torbay home is the ideal way of getting to know the English way of life. What you learn in your lessons you can practise with your hosts. We arrange for students to stay in carefully selected homes, and we aim to find the home that is just right for you in either a single or shared room with breakfast and an evening meal. All of our hosts live in Torbay, and you need not have any worries about long journeys from outside the vicinity.
This hill-top residence with sea views is just a 10-minute walk from the school. Hunter's Lodge accommodates 50 adults aged 18 years or older in a selection of standard or sea-view single and twin rooms. All rooms are en-suite and are booked on a 'room-only' basis, with optional fridges and other services on request. The residence has a shared kitchen, lounge, TV room and an attractive garden and patio. You can use free wireless internet access on the ground floor, or internet is also available on a public computer.
If you prefer the comfort of an hotel, we recommend the Summerhill Hotel in Paignton. This fine family-run hotel is situated just 10 minutes from the school and overlooks the pleasure beach of Goodrington Sands. The hotel offers a lift and level access, comfortable bedrooms and lounge, licensed bar, restaurant with good food, and a warm personal welcome. All bedrooms have TV, radio alarm clock, hairdryer and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. Free wireless internet access is available.
