Cost of living in Fort Lauderdale, USA

We can't tell you the price of everything, but here is a sample of things which you might need during a stay in Fort Lauderdale. The prices are correct as at November 2008.

Some things - particularly the price of petrol - change from day to day, others vary considerably depending on where you buy them so please expect some variation from this list when you visit Florida.

Please also be aware that prices in the US are generally labelled as net prices, which means they do not include the sales tax which will be added at the register. The sales tax in Broward County that Fort Lauderdale belongs to, is currently 6%. The prices below do not include the 6% sales tax.
