    There is a MyCiti bus stop in front of the residence which can be used to travel easily to the city centre, Camps Bay and the rest of central Cape Town. A bus card should be purchased in advance and loaded with credit as the MyCiti bus does not accept cash.

    Banks, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, night clubs, supermarket, golf course, waterfront, mini-golf, gym, places of worship, stadium, beaches, petrol stations, mountain hikes.

Type of accommodation
Student residence. This residence accommodates both LAL students and other international guests in Cape Town participating in internships and non-language studies.

Age of students
16 years and over.

Check-in and check-out
Check-in after 14.00. Check-out before 10.00. Other times by arrangement.

Meals
Breakfast is always included. Lunch is available Monday to Friday at LAL Cape Town at an additional charge.

Kitchen/cooking facilities
Shared kitchen available.

Rooms
There are 7 rooms which can be booked either as single or twin with shared or en-suite bathrooms. Each room has a desk and a wardrobe.

Bathrooms
Rooms are either en-suite or with shared bathrooms with WC, shower and basin.

Utilities
Electricity, heating and lighting are included in the price. Electricity is 240V, 50Hz AC.

Internet and phone
There is free wireless internet access available in the residence.

Laundry
No laundry facilities on site. Reasonably-priced launderettes are available within walking distance.

Security and keys
Students are issued with a key to their room and the residence on arrival.

Bed linen, towels and cleaning
Bedrooms cleaned daily Mon-Fri. Common areas of the residence are cleaned daily. Clean bed linen is supplied once a week. Clean towels are supplied twice a week.

Water
Cape Town is currently experiencing a drought with permanent water restrictions in place. Please conserve water where possible.

Pets
This residence has pets: three dogs, a cat and a parrot. The pets stay in a separate area to the student bedrooms although the cat roams freely around the house.

Deposit & Damage Charges
Lost keys charged at ZAR50. Lock changes charged at ZAR350. Damaged towels are ZAR150 per towel.

Visitors
Visitors by arrangement only.

Noise and restrictions
Noise must not be heard around the bedrooms or in the garden and swimming pool area after 22.00.

Availability
Available all year to students aged 16 and older.
