My favourite place in Cape Town is Lion’s Head where I can walk from the school. I’ve been there several times for the sunrise and sunset, which have, incidentally, been some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in my life.
I learnt how to express myself, how to listen, how to write and to believe in myself. I sincerely think that LAL is a good school, and all of the teachers are so kind, good listeners and understanding. The teachers get along with all of the students.
The English course is really good and I have the feeling that I am learning a lot here. The teachers are very lovely and give a lot of attention to the students so that I almost feel like I am in private lessons. I like Hunters Lodge because it’s a great opportunity to really get to know new friends from other cultures and to practise English outside the school.
I went with LAL to Key West. We sailed for six hours! During this time, we did a lot of activities like snorkelling, parasailing, jet-skiing, banana boat, and swimming of course. We had a great time there and I would definitely recommend it!
I feel ready to take and pass my TOEFL test thanks to four weeks of intensive work. Our teachers, made sure that we knew everything about the TOEFL test and gave us specific feedback on our progress and proficiency.
I find it very useful for my career as a lawyer dealing with company law and business contracts. I enrich my vocabulary and get an additional set of information focussed on business issues such as negotiating, dealing with communication breakdowns, structuring e-mails etc. The teachers adapt to the students’ interests.
