There is no better way of learning English than visiting one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the whole world. New York is the stage for an infinite number of movies, TV series, books, and much more! This is a multicultural place like no other on the planet. You will improve your English without even noticing.
The Classic New York Experience takes place in our Summer School in New York. Our students take their English lessons then spend the rest of the day exploring the city, visiting the most iconic sights, or having fun on-site with their new friends from every corner of the world.
The Classic New York Experience is a programme offered at LAL New York Summer School. Keep reading and discover the activities we have planned for our young learners!
We choose activities that our young learners will enjoy, but that also promote them practicing their English skills. These just are some of the activities we offer in the Classic New York Experience!
Create your own t-shirt, design your own set of glasses and much more!
This is the perfect moment to show all your hidden talents! On your own or with your friends!
Dancing is more fun when you have a theme! Throw some shapes!
Sing with friends, or alone, in English! This is an excellent chance to practise your pronunciation while entertaining everyone!
Let’s see how much you know about general culture, or how much you can remember, in a race against the clock!
Get your team together, follow the clues and try to be the first one to find the hidden treasure!
Some days are more relaxed than others. Enjoy some board games, Xbox games, billiards and more!

I want to improve my English that’s why I’ve been staying for one month at LAL. It was a good experience because I met people from different countries, new friends and I can practice English everyday.
Capetown is a lovely place, I really enjoy it. The teachers in LAL teach well and they are so cool. The staff in the school is also sociable. Concerning my accommodation, I like it, my room is clean and has enough space even I shared it.
I couldn’t be more glad to have been studying here in LAL London for the past 3 months. Firstly, because London is my favourite place in the world, and because LAL is my favourite English school – and that’s why it’s my third time here! The lessons are amazing. I’ve learned so much with my teacher James and all my classmates. And more than grammar, I can understand more about people and cultures. Each class is an adventure that takes us to different subjects, cultures, worlds. In each class we share a little bit of us, and that’s what makes this experience so fantastic.
Studying in this charming town of Twickenham, I have learnt to be more confident as an English student and as a person. This is the most important experience of my life. Thank you, LAL, for being part of it!
This is one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I have met people from many parts of the world and the English course has exceeded all my expectations. The teachers are all very well prepared. Moreover, every day they organise activities for students. The school has great facilities, and for sure they will give you all the help you need.
The school system is great with the different levels and the online Advantage page where you can practice. My teacher was very friendly and taught in a good way.
One weekend, I was with some friends of school at the beach in Miami. It was very beautiful with the nearly white sand.
I came here for an internship so I had General English Course in the morning and I worked in the premises with the rest of the staff in the afternoon. The teachers are really friendly and I have learned a lot during my studies and work. I would highly recommend this experience to whoever who wants to spend a splendid summer!
The English course is really good and I have the feeling that I am learning a lot here. The teachers are very lovely and give a lot of attention to the students so that I almost feel like I am in private lessons. I like Hunters Lodge because it’s a great opportunity to really get to know new friends from other cultures and to practise English outside the school.
