What is this programme about?

LAL Study and Social Volunteer Programme gives you a unique opportunity to combine your General English course with a Social Volunteer Experience by interacting and supporting local communities in various sectors:

Childcare: Kindergartens, Crêches

Education: Primary schools, Secondary schools

Healthcare: Local community clinics

Social Welfare: Homes for children, Child and Youth Care Centre, HGO’s and other organisations

  • Application form
  • Motivational letter
  • CV
  • Police clearance
  • Passport copy
  • Flight ticket

Sample Tasks

  • Feeding, teaching and playing with children
  • Meal preparation
  • Making educational toys and learning aids
  • Assisting teachers in the classroom
  • Volunteers with skills in music, art and sports could greatly contribute to the schools
  • Assisting children with homework
  • General tidying up
  • Assisting with planned activities
  • Focus on special awareness and information programmes
  • Observation
  • Assist within administrative department

What is included?

  • Placement within a local project (supervised placement)
  • Orientation (it takes place on first day)
  • Certificate

What is not included?

  • Accommodation, transport and meals

Minimum Age:
18+ years old
Minimum English level:
Intermediate (B1+)
It must be combined with LAL General English course. Student must attend minimum two weeks of English tuition at LAL
